Hey there Steve, I have a dumb question (hope you don’t mind), what exactly is a padre? I know it refers to a religious person of the Christian persuasion, but what defines the title (as opposed to other religious tiles) that you are identifing with? Cheers to you too.

      Warwick,
Thanks for stopping by and sorry not to have answered sooner. A Padre is is the Spanish colloquialism for Father and used for Priests. Many countries such as Britain will refer to their military Chaplains as “Padre” as is often done in this country. The correct formal title in my church is The Reverend Father. I am rather informal and like colloquialisms. Reverend identifies ordained clergy, while terms like Friar or Brother tend to distinguish members if certain religious orders.
      Blessings
      Padre Steve+
