Christmas Future?

Friends of Padre Steve’s World,

I will be writing a lot about things that are happening now dealing with our current political, social, religious and pandemic crises’s that are ravaging our country and the world. However, after a massive amount of work leading up to the winter/Christmas break of school that I teach, I had to catch up on some Christmas decorating, some housework, and yes my first attempts at doing cartoon Christmas and holiday cards.

My wife Judy, who is a real artist has always told me that I am a natural cartoonist. I just never decided to push myself until this week. Of course these are Christmas and holiday cards. I might star some kind of comic strip, or may editorial cartoons. I can only say that another part of my creativity has been tapped, and Judy says that the more that I draw, the better I will become. That combined with my natural creative streak and twisted sense of humor, could make this fun and thought provoking.

Of course my writing will take precedence, but this will allow a different kind of work to begin, one where my twisted sense of humor can really come into play.

So, anyway, until I get back to writing on a regular basis I wish you the warmest of holiday greetings for whatever, if any holidays you observe. I really don’t care so long as you and yours are safe and happy, and that we all get through this latest COVID-Omicron surge in good health and that none of us, our family’s, or friends die of this.
